Washington, D.C., (September 20, 2024) – Apprio is pleased to announce that it has formalized a partnership with the University of the Azores to promote the technology and innovation industry in the Azores as well as expand Apprio’s automation and AI capabilities.
“This is a unique opportunity to strengthen innovation and technological development in the Azores, while supporting the training and professional growth of local talent,” said Kali Durgampudi, Apprio’s president and CEO.
Through this partnership, Apprio will work with University of the Azores faculty, staff, and students to encourage innovation and develop new technologies in support of automating health systems and operations. Additionally, Apprio is committed to engaging with students through internships, full-time positions, and other professional development opportunities.
Professor Susana Mira Leal said this collaboration between academia and industry offers a great opportunity to not only enhance student education but to support the region’s economic and social development.
Apprio opened its Azores operation in 2023 in cooperation with business incubator CriarTEC.
